We've always wanted to do something different and moving to Canada sounded like fun and it turned out to a great big Adventure which we never regretted so far.
Its been 9 years now since we arrived in Toronto without any luggage from Austria. We barly made the connection flight in Frankfurt, our luggage didn't. It wasn't a big deal, we stayed with family anyway which we are very thankful of to help us out the first few months.
We stayed in a small 2 bedroom appartment in Waterloo for the first year and then bought our current home in Kitchener which we love, specially the backyard. (left pic is from 1999, right pic from this spring)
Picture on the right is from our first Christmas in Canada - it was small and quiet and we spent a lot of time on the phone :O)

Unglaublich wie schnell die Zeit vergeht aber es ist jetzt schon ueber 9 Jahre her das wir nach Canada ausgewandert sind. Es hat uns von Anfang an voll gefallen und das hat sich bis jetzt nicht gaendert. Natuerlich vermissen wir unsere Familie und Freunde aber trotzdem finden wir das Leben hier in Kanada sehr schoen.
Das erste Jahr haben wir in einer zwei Zimmer Wohnung in Waterloo gewohnt und danach unser jetztiges Haus in Kitchener gekauft. Die Fotos oben sind Links vom Jahr 1999 und Rechts von diesem Fruehling. Recht viel hat sich nicht veraendert ausser das der Garten jetzt um einiges besser aussieht - arbeite ja so gerne im Garten :O)
