Love is in the air :O)

to everyone. Hope you all had an awesome Valentines day, no matter what you did.

We're trying to teach the kids thats its not about Gifts (specially expensive gifts) and all the hype around Valentines Day but that its more about spending time with your loved ones and to show and tell them how important they are to you.  I think they got it, specially Lisa.

Lisa made this drawing and explaining it to me later on.  Her comments:

"On Valentines Day we may get Candies, 

a box of Chocolates, a Card 

but the most important thing is to spend time with your friends".

hoffe ihr hattet alle einen schoenen Valentinstag.  Hier in Canada "Valentines Day" wird ziemlich gross aufgezogen und deshalb versuchen wir unseren Kinder beizubringen das es nicht um teure Geschenke geht sondern darum das wir Zeit mit unseren Liebsten verbringen und ihnen auch sagen wie wichtig sie fuer uns sind.  Ich glaub Lisa hat das ganze ganz schoen in einem Bild festgelegt.
Und so hat sie mir ihre Zeichnung erklaert:

"Am Valentinstag bekommt man vielleicht Zuckies, 

Schokolade oder eine Karte aber das wichtigste ist, 

das wir Zeit mit unseren Freunden verbringen".
