Lisa's room makeover - Lisa's neues Zimmer

It was time, the yellow, green and red had to go (those were her nursery colours).  A little face lift was needed and we scheduled it for March break, like I have nothing else to do, LOL.

Es war einfach an der Zeit.  Lisa's gelb, gruen und rotes Zimmer wurde aufgefrischt (waren ja noch die Babyzimmer Farben, das ganze ist ja schon 8 Jahre her, wahnsinn).  Das ganze hab ich fuer die Maerzferien geplant, weil wir ja sonst nicht wissen was wir machen sollen, haha.

 I love making stripes, they are so easy and here is how you do it:

Tools required:
    Tape (2 different widths)
    Level
    and anything around the house
    in the proper width for the spacing.

Run the first strip of Tape from top to bottom, make sure its level all the way down.  Then use your spacer (I used a cardboard piece) and run the second line of tape (this was the wider tape to create the negative paint space), use another spacer to create the smaller stripe and finish it off with the last tape.
Here is the trick to avoid bleeding through.  Use the base paint (in this case our raffia cream) and paint over the tape to seal it in). Once dry paint over it with your accent color.
Remove the tape once everything is dry and voila all done.

Das ganze Make over ist super geworden, Lisa ist auch voll begeistert.  Es fehlen nur noch die neuen Vorhaenge und Deko Polster, aber dann sind wir fertig.

I am very happy the way it turned out.  Its not completely done yet, the curtains and decorative pillows still need to be sewn but thats about it.
